Ultherapy

Ultherapy is a non-invasive procedure that helps to lift and tighten the neck, chin and brow

Tighter & firmer skin with Ultherapy

Ultherapy uses ultrasound therapy to stimulate collagen production. It leverages traditional ultrasound imaging so our therapists can see the layers of tissue they are treating ensuring the treatment energy is delivered to where it benefits you most.

Ultherapy is an excellent standalone treatment but more often patients combine it with dermal fillers to help with volume loss and Dermalux, and skincare to ensure the best possible results.

What do our patients love about Ultherapy?

Patients love the firmer and tighter skin on the neck, under the chin, and on the brow. An ideal treatment for targeting lines and wrinkles and one is of our most popular facial treatments.

Who is Ultherapy it for?

The proven results of Ultherapy are clear, appearing over two to three months as new collagen works to lift skin on the neck, chin, and brow—as well as smooth skin on the upper chest. Results may improve over the following three to six months and can last a year or more. It won’t duplicate the results of a surgical facelift, but Ultherapy is a clinically proven non-invasive alternative for those not ready for surgery.

What conditions can Ultherapy help with?

Ultherapy is a non-surgical alternative to a facelift. It counteracts signs of ageing, such as skin sagging and wrinkles on the face, neck, and chest, and drooping of the brow area. The device stimulates collagen production, which helps to create a more youthful look.

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) at depths of 1.5mm, 3mm, and 4.5mm to cause minor thermal injuries. Over time, as the body repairs itself, these injuries induce an increase in collagen production.

Is Ultherapy the right treatment for me?

Ultherapy can be advantageous for people who have noticed wrinkles and/or fine lines in and around the facial area and is safe for all skin tones. Patients who wish to delay the natural ageing process are ideal candidates for Ultherapy.

How long does the treatment last?

Thirty minutes prior to the treatment a topical anesthetic cream is applied to the treated area. The treatment time varies depending on the size of the area treated and can vary between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours.

What does the Ultherapy treatment feel like?

The Ultherapy experience varies from person to person. A topical anaesthetic and other pain management methods, such as medical gases, are administered. While some websites and media outlets report the treatment as painful, the skill of the practitioner to correctly direct the energy typically has the greatest impact on comfort. We are pleased that our practitioners are highly skilled and have undergone advanced training to ensure the best possible treatment is provided.

How many sessions will I need?

One session is required where two or three depths will be treated at once.

What should I do before my Ultherapy treatment?

Patients should avoid anti-inflammatories (such as aspirin and Ibuprofen) for at least 24 hours prior to treatment. Patients should attend for their treatment without makeup.

Is the Ultherapy treatment safe?

Yes, the Ultherapy treatment is both CE Medical Marked and FDA Cleared.

Is there any downtime?

Downtime is limited, although some patients can experience redness, swelling, or bruising, which can last for a few days.

When can I expect to see results?

Results are typically seen from 12 weeks.

What aftercare is advised?

Sun protection is strongly recommended following treatment. Also, it is best to avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours.
