Why does laser hair removal take a course? The laser treats hair that is actively growing. Hair grows in cycles, so only some follicles can be treated at each visit. That is why sessions are spaced weeks apart. A typical course is six to eight sessions, four to eight weeks apart. It works best on dark hair. We treat skin types one to six, with a test patch and cautious settings for darker skin. There is no downtime. Results vary from person to person.
