Suitability assessment helps decide whether a treatment is appropriate, whether another option is safer, or whether no treatment should be recommended.
Medical history
We review relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, previous procedures and healing history.
Some treatments have specific contraindications that must be screened.
Concern and anatomy
The same visible concern can have different causes, including skin quality, volume loss, muscle activity, pigmentation, scarring or laxity.
Treatment choice depends on the cause, not just the appearance.
Risk and expectations
We discuss downtime, side effects, likely maintenance and what treatment cannot achieve.
Treatment should only proceed when the risk-benefit balance is appropriate for that patient.
