Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Berkshire Aesthetics website and the clinical services we provide. By accessing this website, booking a consultation, or undergoing treatment at our clinic, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Berkshire Aesthetics is a CQC-registered medical aesthetics clinic based in Maidenhead, Berkshire. These terms should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and our Booking Conditions.

Medical Disclaimer

The content provided on this website, including text, images, and other materials, is intended for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. No information on this website should be interpreted as a substitute for professional medical consultation.

Individual suitability for any treatment is determined during a face-to-face consultation with one of our qualified clinicians. The information presented online may not reflect the most current medical research or clinical guidelines and is subject to change without notice.

If you have a medical concern, you should consult your GP or an appropriate healthcare professional. In an emergency, call 999 or attend your nearest Accident and Emergency department.

Informed Consent

All treatments at Berkshire Aesthetics require written informed consent before proceeding. During your consultation, your clinician will explain the proposed treatment, expected outcomes, potential risks and side effects, alternative options, and aftercare requirements.

You will be provided with sufficient information to make an informed decision about your care. A cooling-off period is offered between consultation and treatment where clinically appropriate, in accordance with best practice guidance. You have the right to withdraw your consent and discontinue treatment at any stage, without obligation or penalty.

For certain injectable treatments, a minimum cooling-off period may be required in line with current UK regulatory guidance and the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) recommendations.

Consultation Requirements

A thorough medical assessment and consultation is required before any treatment can be carried out. This assessment allows our clinicians to evaluate your medical history, current health status, and suitability for the proposed treatment.

You are required to provide accurate and complete information about your medical history, current medications, allergies, and any previous aesthetic treatments. Failure to disclose relevant medical information may affect the safety and outcome of your treatment.

Berkshire Aesthetics reserves the right to decline or postpone treatment where it is not considered clinically appropriate or safe. This decision is made in the best interests of your health and wellbeing, and our clinicians will explain the reasons for any such decision.

Cancellation Policy

Full details of our fees, cancellation notice periods, and charges are set out in our Booking Conditions. In summary, a minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule appointments of one hour or less, and 72 hours for longer appointments. CoolSculpting appointments require 7 days' notice.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise and will always consider individual situations on a case-by-case basis. Repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may result in a requirement to pay a deposit when booking future appointments.

Treatment Outcomes

Results from aesthetic treatments vary between individuals and are influenced by factors including skin type, age, lifestyle, medical history, and individual healing response. No guarantee of specific outcomes can be provided.

During your consultation, your clinician will discuss realistic expectations for your chosen treatment, including the likely results, timeline for visible improvement, and the number of sessions that may be required. Before-and-after examples shown on this website or during consultation are illustrative and do not guarantee that you will achieve the same results.

Some treatments may require multiple sessions to achieve optimal results, and maintenance treatments may be recommended to sustain outcomes over time. Your clinician will outline a personalised treatment plan during your consultation.

Photographs and Media

With your explicit consent, clinical photographs may be taken before, during, and after treatment for the purposes of your medical records, treatment planning, and monitoring of outcomes.

Photographs will only be used for marketing, educational, or promotional purposes with your separate written consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time. All images are stored securely in compliance with UK data protection legislation. For further details on how we handle your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

Liability Limitations

Berkshire Aesthetics takes reasonable care to ensure that all treatments are carried out to a high standard by qualified and experienced practitioners. We maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance and adhere to all relevant clinical guidelines.

We shall not be held liable for adverse outcomes arising from undisclosed medical conditions, failure to follow pre-treatment or post-treatment care instructions, allergic reactions to products where no prior allergy was known or disclosed, or treatment administered by third parties.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

Pricing

Prices listed on this website and in our promotional materials are indicative and subject to change without prior notice. The exact cost of your treatment will be confirmed during your consultation, before any treatment is carried out.

Payment is required at the time of treatment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance. We accept major debit and credit cards. Full payment terms will be explained during your consultation.

Where a treatment plan involves multiple sessions, pricing for the full course will be outlined at the outset. We reserve the right to amend pricing for future sessions, though any changes will be communicated to you in advance.
