Why we start with a consultation
Every treatment begins with a medical assessment. We need to understand your medical history, current health, skin condition and concerns before prescribing any procedure. This protects your safety and ensures the treatment is clinically appropriate for you.
During your consultation, Dr Langdon will explain what the treatment can realistically achieve, any risks specific to you, and whether an alternative might be more appropriate.
All bookings are subject to our Booking Conditions.

Clinical overview
PB Serum uses bioactive enzymes to trigger targeted responses within the skin at a cellular level. Three distinct formulations are available, each designed for a different clinical purpose: High formulation targets skin tightening and anti-ageing concerns by stimulating collagen and elastin production. Medium formulation is used for body contouring, helping to break down localised fat deposits. Low formulation addresses scar reduction and active acne by promoting cellular turnover and tissue repair. The treatment is non-invasive and works by delivering the enzyme solution topically or via mesotherapy techniques, depending on the area and concern being treated. We select the appropriate formulation during consultation after assessing your skin, medical history, treatment goals and whether PB Serum — or an alternative — is the most effective and safest option for you.
Key Benefits
- Three targeted formulations for different concerns (tightening, contouring, scar reduction)
- Non-invasive treatment that works at a cellular level
- Can address skin ageing, body contouring and acne scarring within one treatment system
- Minimal downtime — mild redness typically settles within a few hours
- Can be combined with other treatments as part of a broader plan
Suitable For
- Skin laxity or early signs of ageing where tightening and collagen stimulation are the goal
- Localised fat deposits resistant to diet and exercise (Medium formulation)
- Acne scarring or hyperpigmented scars where texture improvement is the priority
- Patients who want a non-invasive approach with minimal downtime
- Those seeking gradual, natural-looking improvement rather than dramatic change
Not Suitable For
- Active skin infection, inflammation or broken skin in the treatment area
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Known allergy or sensitivity to enzyme-based products (discussed during consultation)
- Significant volume loss or structural laxity requiring a different treatment approach
- Anyone expecting immediate or dramatic results from a single session
Final suitability is confirmed during a medical consultation and assessment.
When we don't recommend it
- If there is active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area — we will delay treatment until the skin has settled.
- If your concerns are better addressed by an alternative — for example, significant fat reduction may be more effectively treated with CoolSculpting or EMSculpt Neo.
- If scarring is keloidal or very deep — enzyme-based treatments may not be the most effective approach and we will discuss alternatives.
- If expectations are for an instant transformation — PB Serum produces gradual improvement over a course of treatments and we will set realistic expectations.
- If a combination plan would produce a safer or more effective result — for example, pairing with medical-grade skincare or other in-clinic treatments.

- 4The enzyme solution is applied to the treatment area — the procedure typically takes 30–45 minutes
- 5Post-treatment checks and aftercare guidance tailored to your skin and the formulation used
