Berkshire Aesthetics is a doctor-led, CQC-registered aesthetic clinic in Maidenhead. All treatments begin with a consultation to assess suitability, medical history, risks and realistic outcomes.

How long after anti-wrinkle injections can I exercise?

Most patients are advised to avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after anti-wrinkle injections. This is general guidance and your clinician may adjust it based on your treatment area, medical history and aftercare needs. Follow the written aftercare provided by your clinic and contact them if you are unsure.

When this may help

  • Light normal activity is usually fine unless your clinician advises otherwise.
  • Waiting reduces avoidable swelling, bruising and irritation.
  • Following aftercare helps protect the treatment plan.

When this may not be suitable

  • You have unusual pain, swelling, rash or symptoms that need clinical advice.
  • You were given different aftercare by your treating clinician.
  • You are planning contact sport, sauna, steam or intense heat exposure soon after treatment.

Risks and limitations

  • Bruising, swelling or tenderness may be worsened by strenuous activity.
  • Touching or rubbing the area can irritate injection sites.
  • Aftercare cannot guarantee an outcome but helps reduce avoidable risk.

What we assess in consultation

  • Medication and bruising risk
  • Planned exercise or events after treatment
  • Injection areas and aftercare needs
  • When to contact the clinic after treatment
Unsure whether this is right for you? A consultation is the safest next step.
